Hulu, YouTube through RSS feed on PBO
I've read quite a bit of info on here and have a question concerning the online streaming components. My tech level medium - not a CS major, but done some basic programming and willing to stretch a bit.
First question: Why do some video rss feeds work on the PBO while others don't? The pre-built pod casts and news feeds are fine and I have been able to add a couple more of my own, but why don't the Hulu and Youtube ones work? In the case of Hulu, I am able to load the feed, see the episodes and even see a picture for each episode. For some reason I can't play them though. My guess is that the feed links to a webpage and not directly to a video feed. Is there any way around this?
A lot of this might be solved by just hacking a browser of some kind on the machine? Would be a pain to use the remote control to navigate, but I think it would be nice to just click on the rss feed links to watch the shows.
I did try tversity, but it requires a premium account to watch Hulu and I have to have my computer on in order to watch anything. The whole point of buying the sweet PBO was so I didn't have to hook the laptop up to the tv when I wanted to watch a show or something from the hard drive(s).
Basically I need someone to first explain what the problem is and answer this question once and for all - How do you get Hulu on the PBO through a wireless connection without having to connect it to any other machine (whether that be through rss, a browser, or a system mod)?
