Patriot USB 3.0 ExpressCard Adapter (PCUSB3EXP) and Lacie Rikiki HD

I have installed my PCUSB3EXP on my laptop without any problems. But when I plugin the USB 3 cable to my HD, the PCUSB3EXP seems to "shutdown" (it disappears from the devicelist in the HW settings, and of course the HD never becomes available.

Make sure to use the power source that comes with the external drive. We can also send you a 5v usb power source to give the drive additional power if you submit your address and proof of purchase to RMA@patriotmem.com.

SInce there is the possibility to put a powerplug into the side of the card, I expect that is the correct way to do it. I do not have a USB poser cable, so please do send me one (I have already emailed my shipping info to the European sales office (I believe it's the same for US).

Update (2011-04-02) - have just received the power cable. That is just fantastic service - it's nice to experience that some companies still consider their customers (even the small ones) to be important.
