Default internal HD is not seen in networking

    Hello..I love the PBO..
Anyways my issue is I installed an 80G internal HD inside the PBO and before I used to be able to see the HDD on my network but not anymore and I can't figure out why it's no longer on the network..?
I used to transfer movies to and from but now on my PC I can't see it anymore, but it works fine the other way..
meaning streaming movies from my PC to the PBO so I can sit my a$$ on my couch and watch movies all day..
    any suggestions?
I think this may have happened because I bought Norton Internet Security Legal, installed on my 3 systems in the house..but can't be sure if thats the problem..

That might be the reason, you can first double check to see if SAMBA/BT is enabled in the PBO->NET setup menu.

Next try accessing the PBO from your windows file browser by directly typing its IP.

If that didn't work, try to find up how to add exceptions (ingoing/outgoing traffic) in the norton internet security.

If all fails, try uninstalling norton and see if that would fix it.

    Best of luck,
[*]Still new..? check the wiki. [*]Your shares gone for no reason ? Create a machine shortcut. [*]Trashing the G-adapter? upgrade cheaply to N. [*]Getting the hang of it? get organized .. add share shortcuts. [*]Getting sick of it ? it never hurts to rant here [*]Wishing for the time machine? give your PBO a makeover. [*]Bricked it while doing so ? unbrick it for $5[*]Not into cross flashing? keep it semi-official [*]Too lazy to read all that ? you asked for it.[*] Thank U PBO

well Thanks for the replys guys..
Turning on BT/Samba allowed the drive to show up, I can't believe it was that easy..
I wasted a few weeks trying to figure it out but did not know BT/Samba had to be turned on to allow an internal drive to be seen on the network..
Well you learn something new everyday, I obviously had BT/Samba enabled before I guess..
Though I have only used it once or twice for torrent downloads, but I guess I left it on and when I upgraded to a new firmware I turned it off because I thought it had no bareing on showing network drives..
    enough rambling Thanks Again guys
