You can also try to reset every hardware component involved (PBO, Router, modem) and see if that helps.

It sounds to me as if the IMS feed app (DvdPlayer) insist on using wlan0 (wireless) versus eth0 (Ethernet) even when wireless is not available .... firmware corruption ????? possibly.
I had reinstalled firmware and everything is fine now - RSS feeds came back to me
    Thanks for your suggestion, Snappy
I don't know what was wrong with my previous installation(it worked before without any issues), but now everything is fine

Was it with P70R2 mega? Just wondering if you've also experienced the partial firmware corruption.

So the problem is with the semi-official P70R2. I think it may be related to the Yaffs format of the IMS capable firmware.

Very strange, but it happend again yesterday - I had lost access to RSS feeds in IMS menu (semi-official P70R2 boot code neutral). I had checked and reset all hardware components of my home network. It doesn't help.
I'll try to stick with official P70R2 for some time and will see

You've been attack by the PBO ghost !!!! Run for you life. . Been running P70R2(BCN) for quite a while here without any issues. Have you tried to flash P02 first then P70R2 ???? In some cases this solves weird issues like your's. If you have a serial TTL cable that you can connect to your PBO the erase -m once in the YAM monitor does an even better job of cleaning things up.

    Good luck!!!

I think that may be related to certain IMS feeds that buffer a lot. I experienced firmware corruption many times on several PBO and I use IMS video feeds on a daily base. The problem was solved by switching to the Universal Firmware in S format.

    Hi tourist,

Do you have a link to one of those IMS feed that you suspect is causing this problem; I'll like to add it to my feeds and see what happen.

    Thanks.

It is not simply a link, but links to sites with many mega links. You will have to go through several pages to pick the streaming source. I am not sure which feed(s) is causing the problem. I do streaming of live TV everyday and occasionally watch movies or TV series from streaming too. Sometimes, the PBO will crash if I change channel too fast. Anyway, using the same sites with a firmware in S format does not have that issue. The Universal Firmware is also available in y format, but it is very rare and has less people using it. I may give it a try to see if that is the problem. Moreover, there is also a version of firmware that can use flash drive (or hard drive) for buffering.

might be you're right - it looks like PBO ghost
Surely, I had flashed to P70R2 through P02. Actually, I had used also TTL cable (Aasoror way) and did erase -m procedure (because my PBO was bricked about 3weeks ago). I will stick a bit more time with official P70R2 + yours Improved IMS and then will see how it change PBO ghost's activity
Probably tourist is right in respect of yaffs format firmware and IMS feeds issues, I don't know.
I like yours IMPROVED IMS together with P70R2 - it doesn't matter for me if firmware will be in yaffs format or S
