Help !!!

hello I purchased my media box and lent it to a friend he brought it back nad said he had to reformat the drive ???? (MMMMMMM) anyways now all I get is just a empty screen when connected to my computer can anyone please !! help me...........

Maybe a little more information would help......what do you mean connected to your computer? Have you connected via line out video to a rca input on tv? Do you see the normal pbo rolling at first boot due to it is in pal mode? Posts on here previously show setting the player to defaults causes the screen to be dark and there are options for fixing that on here in a thread. Have you tried to telnet into the player using the last known IP address it had (or looking in your dhcp listings should show you as well)?

Hello and thanks for that. when connected to tv via rca or hdmi cable it shows nothing but a blank screen, black. When connected to a computer the hard drive shows empty, totally wiped. I have tried booting into the bios of the media player and nothing I am stumped.?..So much for lending stuff to mates..........gggrrrrr

Have you attached it to the network and tried to telnet into the box while it is powered on? If you use the mini usb and connect to windows you cannot have anything else attached to the usb ports at all.
