Just purchased (On the 7th) a 12Gb ELK kit for my new i7 build (Asus Sabertooth,i7950) and was delighted to find the timings weren't 9-9-9-24 as advertised but were in fact 7-7-7-20. Since Fry's has a rebate for 100.00 dollars effective the 9th I was feeling a bit hosed, but these went through 2 passes of Memtest86+(as a group) earlier today so I think I might keep 'em.

If anyone at Patriot wants to talk discount in lieu of rebate in exchange for some sandforce-based drives I'd be interested since there seems to be a bit a bit of smack talk on a competitor's forums. Seriously though, I'm pretty darned well impressed for 300's worth of DDR3. It would take a hundred or 2 afaik to guarantee those timings on that much RAM stock from pretty much any competitor.
