Default Box keep booting showing Box Office logo

4318 was working fine, boot code 23
I just upgraded from ACRBO 4318 to ACRBO 4368. I use the Asian link from the aasoror's page. After the upgrade, it says complete, and reboot itself. Then it show the "Box Office" logo, then turns black, and the shows the logo again, it keeps doing this foerver.... anything I did wrong and how am I going to restore it?

    help!

I tried to just the reset switch trick, to connect the SW3 switch. When I put P02 firmware in the front USB and power it up, it has a red frame saying: "Can not boot from HDD".

Guess I didn't have patience... When I see the "Can not boot from HDD" screen, I have to wait for almost 60 seconds or so. Then the usb stick start to flash. Then it reboots itself and the reflash bar start to appear! Then remove the SW3 connect point and it will be done.

    Thanks for the update,
So were you eventually able to get Asian ACRBO 4368 running on your box ?
[*]Still new..? check the wiki. [*]Your shares gone for no reason ? Create a machine shortcut. [*]Trashing the G-adapter? upgrade cheaply to N. [*]Getting the hang of it? get organized .. add share shortcuts. [*]Getting sick of it ? it never hurts to rant here [*]Wishing for the time machine? give your PBO a makeover. [*]Bricked it while doing so ? unbrick it for $5[*]Not into cross flashing? keep it semi-official [*]Too lazy to read all that ? you asked for it.[*] Thank U PBO

Yes, it is runing now! ACRBO4368. Here is the event happening sequence:

    1. Have 4318 running perfectly. Attempting to upgrade to the 4368.

    2. Download file from aasoror's ACRyan page. Extract file put to usb. plug in, select upgrade from system menu.

    3. Very Wried! the Firmware shows 4318 instead of 4368? After it completes, it goes into a never ending boot looping.(box office logo)

    4. Dissemble the box, use aasoror's SW3 swtich trick to do a force recovery. I used wire solder to the SW3 point. And use the end point to touch the groud/shell. Put P02 in USB.

    5. Power off, hold the point to touch the shell, turn it on, it will immediatly show a red border screen, it said couldn't "Can not boot from HDD"?

    6. Don't loose the touching point yet. Count about 60 seconds, then the usb start to read, P02 flash is kicked in. Now loose the touching point. Let it finished loading.

    7. After flashing it comes back to the main menu with language selection.

    8. Now try to upgrade to 4368 again. Same wired thing, showing 4318 in the flash screen. After it finishes, it reboot immediatly with that red "Can not boot from HDD"again.

    9. Keep wait for 60 seconds. Then it does the same flash thing again. Now wait for it to finish. after it said installation complete! now remove the USB.

10.after it reboot, it shows the menu with language selection. go to system info, it did show 4368 now.

    everything so far so good!

    Thanks for the update.
By the way, the above is expected as I have used the installer from 4318 for 4368.

What he experienced is a faulty upgrade which can happen during any upgrade (be that official, semi-official or a custom based one), you don't necessary need the SW3 trick to recover (or the serial cable), it all depends on at which stage of the firmware update did the failure happen. most cases repeating the update with a different USB stick should fix it, sometimes you are not that lucky.

Thanks Aasoror. I was about to comment and saw your reply. I just upgraded a brand new out the to ACR 4368 and it worked just fine. I also upgrade my existing PBO from ACR 4318 to ACR 4368 and it worked like charm. Was also nervous at the time.

I'm having the same problem after using SW3 reset. The box was working just fine with P61 beta without YT, since I upgraded the it to BETA.P70R2(BCN).Megapack and started the moServices from the telnet session to enable YT. It showed memory alloc error. I rebooted the box and then it showed up PBO logo and doing nothing. I used the SW3 reset with a twist-tie and put a USB with 02. Since then it just keep rebooting forever after showing Install complete. If I remove the USB drive it stays on the PBO logo doing nothing. I would appreciate any help.
