EXT2 or EXT3 Support?

The documentation provided with the 1.27 firmware says that the GearBox supports ext2/ext3 file systems.

When I connect freshly formatted ext2 drive to my GearBox it reports:

Not formatted. Please format hdd first.

How do I access the listed Ext2 / Ext3 support?

I have tested this with firmware 1.27 (both FAT32 and NTFS) and firmware 1.30 (both FAT32 and NTFS). If you need more info, let me know and I'll be happy to provide it.

The documentation is incorrect. Currently no devices based on this hardware/Embedded OS support EXT2/3. Patriot or Otherwise.
