    not working
    still ... cannot play media
    I presume I need the megapack special?

    wigout - in http://www.patriotmemory.com/forums/...8&postcount=23
    you mention "downloaded the latest aasoror original megapack special"
    the install doesn't work for me, I get:
    Choose an option:
    => (1) - Minimal installation (Core and ftp)
    => (2) - Core only installation
    => (3) - Exit
    1
    [: ==: binary operator expected
    [: ==: binary operator expected

    seems to be that "$mos/services enable" is where it breaks down

    what is $mos/services and how can I rectify this?

    I appreciate your patience

    Well mos/services is a nifty addon for asus oplay developed by a Russian user, then shown to be usable on the acryan pohd and also on the pbo.

    There's a google code site for it these days:
    https://sites.google.com/site/farvoice/about_en

    I have to admit:
    I worked through the errors I encountered at the time and got it installed. I liked the youtube stuff and the radio stuff. Didn't really go in for the playlists much.

    I have since moved to the medebo firmware which is pleasing mostly but doesn't have ims services (which mos/services relies upon). So, my experience is documented in this thread and that's about all I have to say about it.

    The error you are encountering:
    [: ==: binary operator expected

    shows up as a shell script error.

    One solution that someone noted is that in a place where a single pair of bracket existed:
    [ command argument whatever ]
    there should have been two pairs of brackets:
    [[ command argument whatever ]]

    Now I don't know where you got your script, but it is possible that it is out of date.

    Can you supply the links that you are following?
    Here's the latest from the mos/service google site:
    https://sites.google.com/site/farvoice/install_en
    & here's the thread about installing it on the pohd:
    http://www.acryan.com/forums/viewtop...b9c7f1&start=0

    I followed snappy's tips plus the pohd instructions in combination to get in running.

    Hope some of this shotgun blast post helps,

    wigout

    thanks for the quick response wigout
    is your youtube working?

    I was following from the beginning of this thread and also used the ac ryan thread that you gave.

    the install still doesn't work but I'm guessing all it does is add rss links. Is that correct?
    I have metafeeds working; the youtube link show up the icons but when I press to play it says "cannot play media"
    youtube used to work but stopped working a couple of months ago and I'd like to get it working again. Youku works but there isn't as much content.
    I understand they changed the API.
    What do I need to do to fix this? There's probably lots of others that want it too.
    Mind you, they may change it again!

    I see on farvoice that there is an offline option - I'll give that a shot ...

    No luck ... I'm missing /usr/local/etc/mos - I manually ran the script commands ...
    installed in Linux but then the link is broken when I run http://player_ip_address>/cgi-bin/services.cgi

    hmmm -- more experimenting
