Default Loading content on USB HDD connected to GearBox

Is there a way to load more video content on the USB HDD connected to the GB without unplugging it from the GB, plugging it into my PC where that other content is and loading it into the PUBLIC folder where the current content is ? (via the PC's USB port)

Yes, you may FTP into the gearbox from a pc, and transfer files that way, or you may use windows networking to connect to the gearbox and drag and drop files onto it.

Thanks man -- I'm currently adding BD/HD content to the 2Tb USB HDD I use on the GearBox

FYI - I'm copy/pasting to my 2Tb USB HDD's PUBLIC folder via Windows Drag-n-Drop with a ton of BD content - pretty easy once I found out how to do it the "Fast" way

I tried to do it while it was still connected to the GB/Windows network via ethernet and it only transfered at about 3 MBs -- via a direct USB connection to my media server/USB HDD it transfers at about 23 MBs when I copy/paste to the "PUBLIC" folder in the GB formatted USB HDD

    hello,
I bought GB couple days ago, flashed it with NTFS firmware
Everything is working fine excluding FTP
I can drag and drop files via SMB with no problem (just speed is quite slow ), but when use FTP I've got an error message everytime (550 when i remember right).
I had created user account under FTP server(similar like in SMB), share the folder "PUBLIC"
Under this folder I had created subfolders "music", "movies" and "pictures, put there some contents using SMB
I'm able to open mentioned folders also through FTP server, but can't copy or transfer - getting an error message in my Windows 7.
Once I've got it work - appear window with message "counting transferring time" and then GB freeze (was forced to reboot it)
    Probably I did something wrong
Could someone help me to fix this issue?
I'd like to use FTP for file transferring from/to HDD attached to GB via network, I hope it has to be faster than SAMBA
    Thanks in advance for assistance
