USB 3.0 PCI-e Host Card don't detect external Drive

Hi

I bought your USB 3.0 PCI-e Host Card.
When I plug my USB 3.0 external drive (Pyrogate PYR-3375-500 USB3.0 with 500GB Western Digital 2.5”) my Win7 (32-Bit) don’t detect the HD. If I plug the HD with the same cable (USB3.0) on a USB 2.0 board on the same PC, the HD will be detected with the information that this device can be connected to a superspeed USB 3.0 board.

The following Drivers are installed without confilicts
NEC Electronics USB 3.0 Host Controller Version 1.0.19.0
NEC Electronics USB 3.0 Root Hub Version 1.0.19.0

Hello,

Can you provide the make and model of your system/motherboard?

Depending on how old the host system is, it might be incompatible as older systems were never designed to power USB 3.0 epxress cards.

By any chance, do you have another system you can test the card on? Please advise, does the drive work standalone without the PCI USB 3.0 card?

I am having the same problem. The drivers installed fine but it doesn't detect the drive. It is powered externally and works fine in a USB 2.0 port.

I tried it in a different pci slot and got it to recognize the drive but I got a message that it could run faster.

What is the make and model of the system you have?

Try updating the bios and making sure that all of the drivers are up to date.

What kind of speeds are you getting from the WD drive?
