You and me both!
I've owned both of these since early this year,
NEVER had a problem with either until I tried to get
them upgraded, used the RMA system to send them
back, ended up having to send back again as they
didn't update the boot code.
I've taken one with me around the world, Spain,
Korea, Ireland and across the USA, no worries, until the upgrade
Now, I wish I had never sent them in
just goes to show ya, the next best thing isn't
always the best next thing!

I think I wasn't clear enough, there was no phases involved. TYPICALLY, when a beta is released, it goes through testing and bug reports, what is fixed is fixed and whats not is identified as "known bugs". Then an official (non-beta) version is released.Originally Posted by adamsky
In the PBO world, a beta firmware is a firmware that is not shipped on the boxes yet. once that firmware starts shipping, it is promptly "RENAMED" and that's as far as beta "phase" goes.

Got home tonight, audio out again, also reverted to only 480p
BUT, the unit was left in SLEEP mode, meaning I turned it off
by way of the remote, so the red light was on the box.
I turned it off again,
hit the power switch
turned the power switch back on
and it started working again.
Maybe that's how it's suppose to work?
I dunno but it doesn't sound proper...

hehe, it's hard to say, I deal in a lot of custom knives and
when one of them gets a spot of rust on it, the maker says
that's not rust, that's a character mark
Just like the features on PBO...

Must be something does go a little off when it's shut down by the remote
home tonight and again it reverted saying only 480p was available and also
NO audio coming out.
Turned off the unit by the remote and then by the switch, waited a few seconds
and turned it back on and all was right again, very frustrating as it did not
do this with the original setup bootcode and PO2 firmware.
