Default Trouble playing mp4 video files.

I was having problems rendering mp4, (h264, aac), files with my PBO. After re-encoding several files to get them to play,(h264, ac3), I discovered that it was the aac audio that was giving the PBO trouble. The PBO sees the mp4 file as an audio file.
If the original troublesome mp4 file is demuxed with Mkvmerge and the audio is saved as an mka audio file, video as an mkv file, and then remuxed, the file will play in PBO with no problem.
My question is why would doing this make any difference seeing as how nothing is changed but the container (mp4 to mkv)?

P05 is known to break mp4.
I am not sure if it was fixed in the latest P053, but apparently its was a simple (if container is MP4 then do ..) line of code that got messed up.

If P053 wont fix it, then its P04 or P02 (if you want to keep it official).

    Hope that helps,

No problem, it would be great if you can report back about it.

I have updated to PO53 and after trying two mp4 files that had trouble being rendered with PO5beta, the problem apparently has been solved. The PBO still sees the mp4 file icon as audio and not a film clip. I do like the new
'Total Time Bar'. My PBO came with PO2, then was updated to PO4, PO5, PO5b, and now PO53.
I read here somewhere how to operate that virtual keyboard in PBO and would like to thank that fellow for the info.
