Default patriot selling memory by making false claims

i recently contacted Patriot about the suitability of a particular kit for a motherboard before purchasing it.
Patriot wrote to me stating that this kit would work in tri-channel mode on the motherboard concerned.

On this basis I purchased this kit from patriot, and 2 weeks later after extensive testing and changing the motherboard, I am now certain that this kit in fact will never work in tri channel mode on this motherboard.

I contacted Patriot about this and they have declined to replace the kit that won't work in tri channel mode on this motherboard with one that will.

In fact they want me to pay to send the kit back to them on the basis they will replace it with another one that won't work on this particular board.

Having wasted days of my time, refused to make good on their promise, I would like to ask why anyone in their right mind would think that any customer treated like this by Patriot would not be rightfully upset.

Patriot have problems, and users of this forum and its administrators would you please post your suggestions here in this thread as what could be done to solve them before I air these facts elsewhere.

    Hi,

I'm sorry for any inconveniences you've had but can you please elaborate on what issue you've had? We do have specific products that match specific motherboards. Our memory is completely hand tested to ensure compatibility, but sometimes a particular set of memory can be defective. In this case we will gladly exchange the memory. If it is within 15-30 days, it may be faster through the reseller. For anything thereafter we will be glad to process the exchange through us.

Our process for exchange is through Technical Ref ID through the RMA department. Did a rep assign you a technical reference id to submit? Did a RMA rep contact you? The only reason why a claim would be denied would be that if the product was somehow tampered with or if it was purchased from an unauthorized reseller.

    Please advise.

    As stated -

Your response denies this reality - patriot have refused to replace this non compatible kit with the closest speed memory kit quoted as compatible by the motherboard manufacturer - as opposed to the false claims made by Patriot pre -sale.

I do not believe the kit to be faulty because it registers tri channel at minimum spec consistently - it will not however register at its stated speed in tri channel consistently.

This kit is unsuitable for the board that Patriot said it was suitable for in writing.
It is not an RMA matter - it was sold to me fraudulently by patriot.

Patriot will not deal with this matter as a complaint -they will not agree to replace it at no cost to myself with a kit approved by the motherboard manufacturer - they in fact want me to pay to send the kit back - and get another of the same type and pretend that it will work despite the problems encountered.

Problems wasting my time and at my expense entirely of Patriots making.

If your response is the best official support that Patriot can come up with then clearly people need to be warned against ever dealing with Patriot. Similar issues have been posted in the these forums recently and similarly ignored/ spun by the same people.
You are killing your company by your failure to deal with serious issues in a respectful manner.
