Default Is there a way to turn off Chapter markers?

I am wondering if there is any way to shut off those annoying Chapter markers that seem to pop up every 60 seconds.

I have spent a lot of time in the menus and can't find a way to do it.

    Can it be done?

And does anyone know if this is a problem with other media players, like Western Digitals?

If I can't fix this problem, I'll probably send this unit back because my wife cannot stand seeing these Chapter signs pop up.

Thanks again for all your help.

So far, this is what I like least about the player..I had no idea some movies has so many chapters til I got this thing.

If you watch a lot of subtitled films the titles which seem to stay up for 10 seconds or so can make you miss a lot.

It depends on the encoding of the video. If, for example, you use Handbrake to rip/encode the video, you can select the 'chapter markers' on or off before starting the encode process. If "off" is selected, the chapter breaks will not be encoded. Or keep the chapter markers "on" to preserve the chapter breaks (for easy hopping through the scene) but rename them to blank name (so no chapter name displayed on screen).

Or maybe you have never encountered a video containing chapter markers.

I just discovered that I can move the chapter display (higher or lower) with the remote, using the up-arrow and down-arrow buttons. And change the size (smaller or bigger) using the left-arrow and right-arrow buttons.
