Print server issue
I'm trying to set up the print server on my Valkyrie, and when I select the printer in my add printer wizard in vista, it tells me that the server does not have the correct printer driver installed.
How do I go about fixing this. Even if I choose the correct driver further in the wizard, nothing prints.
Thanks in advance!

I don't mean to sound like a jack@## but maybe you should install windows 7. Try configuring the printer manually, if you can avoid the wizard it would likely work

since the pritner is sharing an IP with your valkyrie, you need to check the manual how to set up the printer. Simply installing pritner will not work.

I tried both scenarios, but neither works. I can't get it to work in VISTA home prem 64 bit or Win 7 home prem 64 bit. I've tried using the wizard, I've tried accessing the printer directly from the nas through the network, neither of them work. It says that it's sending the print job to the printer but then it disappears into the ethereal mist and thats that.
And as to the manual, I followed the 5 steps that are in the manual and that too failed.
I'm trying to network an HP Deskjet 5440.

is your printer getting an IP?
you can find this under printer -> ports
what printer do you have?
win 7 / vista has some weird issue with driver for network printers. You kinda have to install the driver on to your PC first before configure it.
