My take on setup ipkg on box office device

When I try to install ipkg i get this error
pbo write error: No space left on device
df gives:

Yeah, it should be writable once you issue this command:

# mount -o remount,rw /

However I also see that your root directory is full hence the "ln" will fail because of lack of room. I suggest that you try some of the semi-official firmware in aasoror signature block ( I like P70R2 (BCN)); this firmware will leave more room on the root to do this.

I try with that fw, but the installation failed as it says that there was no space for the Yaffs!?
Then of course it cant boot any more, so i put BETA-BC18-61 on the flash drive in order to boot.
I just read at this post http://www.patriotmemory.com/forums/...otcode-neutral, it says
Release Notes:
Pre-installation setup: You MUST fully erase your PBO prior to the firmware upgrade to do that follow "tourist" advice below.
Can you please explain me what does this fully erase mean

Are you sure that you are using P70R2 (BCN)? Nothing special should be required to flash this firmware; some issues have been found with the megapack but 70R2(BCN) is the same as the official except that is uses the yaffs filesystem vs squashfs.

Something is weird here your root or /usr/local/etc should not be that full after just flashing this firmware. I recommend that you try to flash the firmware P02 then back to P70R2 (BCN). P02 has been known to give the PBO a good clean and resolve weird issues like yours.

By the way running P02 would make things has clean as can be without a serial cable. With a serial cable you can do a better clean by enabling serial communication between the PBO and PC and issuing the erase -m command.

Finally it works, snappy (and all others) many thanks, this solution works. Downgrade to P02 and then to P70R2 (BCN) somehow clean the space so i manage to install the transmission bt.
What I notice after first impression of this bt client is that the PBO device works slowly and sometimes it freezes. Do you also have this problems or maybe there is already some posts
I also install the transmission remote client on my pc, in case the web version needs more resources from the pbo
