nothing disastrous (you can always reflash back), yes, yes and yes.
[*]Still new..? check the wiki. [*]Your shares gone for no reason ? Create a machine shortcut. [*]Trashing the G-adapter? upgrade cheaply to N. [*]Getting the hang of it? get organized .. add share shortcuts. [*]Getting sick of it ? it never hurts to rant here [*]Wishing for the time machine? give your PBO a makeover. [*]Bricked it while doing so ? unbrick it for $5[*]Not into cross flashing? keep it semi-official [*]Too lazy to read all that ? you asked for it.[*] Thank U PBO

MedeBo Video Wall is nice feature, but there is still space for improvements.

    1. Adding folders one by one into the wall is a bit tedious.
    2. The folder structure should be quite flat. The folders you add to video wall should contain just one level of subfolders with actual movies and cover arts.
    3. One screen can fit only 12 items. If there are more items in the added folder, they are split by pages. Unfortunately page navigation is a bit slow.

The firmware lacks of IMS and torrent client, but nevertheless it is the best firmware IMHO.

While I don't need IMS, Torrent support is a must for me. In their forum there's a cTorrent client. Will try it to see how it works.

BTW, will it shuffle all music correctly or we still need to have a playlist???

Thanks for all your (and theirs) hard work.

I only had to add one folder to show all my movies. Here's how my structure is set up.

    [Movie Folder]
    | - [Movie 1]
    | - | - avi/mkv, jpgs
    | - [Movie 2]
    | - etc

I don't know about ctorrent but I can tell you that rtorrent runs well on the PBO after some customirazation. Rtorrent also offers a watch directory, which means that as long as it is running you can just drop the torrent file to the watch directory and the download will start automatically. So to add torrent I just telnet to PBO; cd to my watch directory and then use wget to download the blablabla.torrent file to the watch directory.

    Example:

    Code:
    # cd /tmp/hdd/volumes/HDD1/Torrent
    # wget http/piratebay.org/.........file.torrent
    Done!

Pretty easy; just miss the bit torrent download status TV screen available on the 4318. Maybe one of those days I will figure out how to do this using the rss feed so that I can have the download status of rtorrent available at the TV Screen.

*** Sorry for being off topic ....... well a little

question--- does the MedeBO firmware use the pbo remote in a stock manner like the acrbo does?

The thing is that I have whole hierarchy of folders with different genres. So it is tedious to add them all and then assign genre picture to each of them.

BTW. Too many movie folders in same category folder is not good either, as navigation between pages becomes slow. The ideal is to have 12 category folders with 12 movies folders
