PBO and MythTV?
Has anybody else tried the PBO with a MythTV server?
I have one problem that keeps me from Nirvana on the PBO: it won't stream recorded ATSC streams from the MythTV backend via UPnP.
It *will* stream my other videos, in a variety of formats, but it gives me an "Invalid file" when I attempt to stream an ATSC MPEG2 TS to the device.

Same problem here
This box would be perfect for me if my recordings didn't show up with invalid file. My only other upnp player takes issue as well, so I believe something isn't being relayed over properly from mythbackend. I've seen some posts for patching mythbackend to work with popcorn hour but am just starting to dig into the issue.

is it really UPnP ?
did you try bypassing the UPnP (local access or remote access via SAMBA) and see if the box is capable of playing those files to start with ?

Local access
I can try that, but the way the designers of MythTV chose to store the files in the filesystem is with names that are just one step better than raw inode numbers - you have to go through the Myth backend to get the names.
However, I was able to play one of the files via uShare, so that would tend to prove the unit can play the file.
Besides, the files are straight ATSC streams, which are MPEG2 transport streams - Myth only uses its very-poorly-supported Nuppel video format for analog streams and/or transcoded streams.

I have Mythbuntu 11.04 and my PBO gets "FatalError" when attempting to play TV recordings via upnp. I can play those same TV recordings shared via samba by the Mythbuntu system, so the files are playable. As Wowbagger mentioned the filenames are a long string of digits (datestamp in there I think), but no info about show name, channel, genre, etc.
Problem is getting the PBO to understand the Mythbuntu upnp stream or getting Mythbuntu to send what PBO wants. Interestingly I briefly got the stream to play while it was being recorded, which implies perhaps Mythbuntu does something strange with the file after it finishes recording it.
