    Default Universal Remote

I was wandering if anyone knew if its possible to use a "universal remote" even if all of the buttons don't correspond to their correct functions... I would think this would improve range. I've seen posts referring to a Harmony remote so it sounds possible. If so are there specific frequency codes to put in?

The PBO is now inside the harmony database, but if you don't have a learning remote and need to manually set the codes (not sure if a universal one would be that flexable though) here you are :

I have a Harmony learning remote (510). When setting up the remote there are different categories, (TV, DVD PVR,etc) to find the manufacturer. What category do you look under to find Patriot Memory?

    Hi,

You should look under "Computer" >> "Media PC" >> Select Patriot as the manufacturer.

It should give you the Box Office option. Anyway, some of the buttons may need to be reteach.

Hope this helps. I am using a Harmony 550 and it works fine. However, i reprogrammed some of the buttons to suit my system/style.

If you're going to use a Harmony remote, it sets the button in the center of the arrows incorrectly. Reset it to "Enter", otherwise you'll be annoyed.

"reteach"? Which one? They all seem to work for me. I reassigned a few, but no "reteach" was required.
