    Default Rewind/FForward issue!!!!!!

I use my PBO almost a week, some issues i hope that can be fixed on future update:

    1) Try to connected with Gigabit router(Dlink DIR 825)through wire, all the pixile problems(green, yellow blocks)was solved ,picture flawless and smooth(1080P MKV).But Rewind/FForward only available up to 2X,if switch back to 10/100 router(Dlink DIR 615),Everything back to normal can reach 32X,but pixilation problem come up.(Due to the slow transfer speed from 10/100)
Files format to test: 1080p MKV,AVI,720i ,RMVB

2)Comstar N wireless stick(Realtek chipset) can be work with PBO,when playing files, signal will be cutoff after 2-5 minutes,i guess should be driver incompatible. This will be great if firmware can fix this problem because Comstar N wireless can easy to get it at Future shop around $40.(Also same problem as above Rewind/FForward up to 2x when using wireless stick!)

3)This will be nice if firmware support multi-channel(for karaoke and asia movie)

I want to echo that I have a similar problem. Rewind doesn't work on higher resolution files for me. Just acts like pause. I can hit it repeatedly and see the number go up (2x, 4x), but the image just stays paused.

Just received my PBO last week, and installed the ES-51-283G-PCMPBO25-P02 (beta) UI Firmware update.

Was playing a 12 GB 1080p video file stored on an attached Iogear Portable Media Player (GMD2025U120), attached via USB 2.0.

    Edit on 12/17/09:
I tried the "Instant Replay" feature (dedicated button on PBO remote) and it works nicely.. jumps back 30 seconds, seems to have no difficulty with any of my media files. Not sure why this method of rewinding has no trouble but the regular rewind is mostly ineffective. If anyone else is having rewind trouble, try mashing the instant replay button repeatedly like you're playing Track and Field.. seems to get the job done.

Gigabit router support (if you mean wired LAN) is hardware limitation not firmware as the port on the PBO is 10/100

I have the same problem except I have pixelation issues when running on a gigabit switch (dlink 108g). You do now have this issue any more?

I only have access to ff/rw at 2x.

If switch back to 10/100 ,2x problem should be be solved. On the other hand choppy file will be happen again if you watch on HD files!
For myself,i give up direct wire conect and get a dlink N wireless bridge,i placed my PBO upstair bedroom and play well even in 720i.(some of 1080p can play but choppy, but that enough for me at lease i enjoy my wireless N transfer)

I own PBO and Asus O!Play. Both of them use Realtek chip. In the lastest upgrade of O!Play, you can FF and Rewind by time (every 5 mins, 10 mins,...) besides by speed (2x, 4x, 8x,...) I hope PBO will do the same.
