Default Meritline AWLL6075 $15.99 + free shipping is back

Here you are, No non-US shipping though.

The 2T/2R model (RTL8192) is also on sale for $19.99

"Non-US shipping" = FAIL. Not sure why they would decide not to ship out of country, but that makes my choice easier. I ordered the Monoprice (RealTEK) one and we'll see how it goes.

lol, well this isn't RFD.com any way I know they must have similar reasons to the ones that amazon.com, walmart.com, buy.com, bestbuy.com and most US online retailer which doesn't do cross borders shipping or have an extensive exception list.

Any way, the Monoprice deal seems to be a good one, although I was worried about QC that 1 of the 4 reviews reported a fried up adapter. Please let us know once you get it.

I went through all the posts here and distilled the findings:

Here are the chipsets from Realtek that are supposed to work (you find these in the specs for the Wifi usb adapter, it should work):
    11N8709
    RTL8187
    RTL8191SU

    DOES WORK:

    Wireless G:

    Belkin
F5D7050E (There are at least 5 different F5D7050's, only the F5D7050E has the RTL8187B Realtek Chipset, it's also sometime referred to as F5D7050 v.5- thanks aasoror.)

    Wireless N:

    Does Work:
    AWLL6075 aka Airlink101

    http://www.meritline.com/airlink101-...--p-38742.aspx

    ALSO:
The Airlink 101 AWLL5077 is an R1T1 (thus 150mbps receive max) and is based on the compatible Realtek RTL8188SU chipset.

DLINK DWA-130 HW version E1 Firmware version 5.10. Wireless N 300 -ONLY THE HARDWARE VERSION E is known to work, there are other hw versions out there.

    SHOULD WORK:

Wireless-N 802.11N WiFi USB Adapter Card 300 mbps

Which is out of stock at Rokland itself:

    Trendnet TEW-648UB and TEW-649UB
    According to this review.

    TEW-648UB (Rev 1.0) has a Realtek RTL8188SU (R1T1)

    TEW-649UB (Rev 1.0) has a Realtek RTL8191SU (R2T1)

Finally, two said it worked, one said it wouldn't stream:
    Zonet ZEW2546 - uses Realtek RTL8191SU chipset.

    Default Awll6075

Have the airlink101 golden and airlink N 300 gbit router and are working flawless together. Only issues I'm having are I have the ISO files sitting on samba share and I have to restart nmbd service so that my workgroup and samba shares show in the net of the PBO when I turn it on. Is this a firmware bug or is there a setting for the wins in samba to do a master browser scan at faster intervals that would fix this? Set this up a LONG time ago and have gotten quite rusty with the samba configs.

I just purchased the AWLL6075 dongle and I must say that I am not impressed with my PBO. The Golden only works when plugged into the front usb port, and even then at a max rate of 1800-3000Kbps as reported by the PBO. I can't even stream an episode of Dora!
It isn't even recognized by the PBO when plugged into the back.
When I try to push a file from my desktop (connected via Gbit on N router) I am lucky if it transfers faster than 768 KBps. When I use the same dongle on my laptop sitting beside my PBO, I get transfers as fast as 6.5MBps. Any ideas why it won't work in the back or why it's so slow? I am using firmware P02.
