I'm a noob, please help.

Using Netgear N router, broadcasting SSID w/ WPA encryption. PBO sees my network but DHCP not ready! I have keyed in the encryption code but no luck.

I installed the Transcode Server and scanned for IP's but comes up blank.

WTH do I do now? Please help.

Hmm...could be a number of things. Depending on your router, are you set up for Wireless N only or will it allow B/G? Cause the Patriot adapter isn't 'N' capable.

Easiest thing would be to turn all security off (save router config first, of course), and work your up.

But make sure you're not set up for Wireless 'N' only.

Another question: Even though it says DHCP not ready, you should still see the bars for wireless strength beside it...do you?

Turned off all security and no luck. My router is broadcasting SSID and both N and G are on. I'm using a Netgear WNDR3300 w/ Windows Vista 64 Ultimate.
Is there a way to determine PBO's or USB wireless adapter's IP and MAC so I can designate it on my router either static or DHCP?

The USB adapter does not show up on my router.

a few things..


1) make sure the adapter connect all the way in. Prefer the front of the unit.
2) Does the PBO detect your home network?
3) Connect your wifi adapter to your desktop and see if it connects to your network
4) Connect a land line to your router and see if unit detects network.
5) update firmware if all fails
