Default Slow Write/Read Speeds 64GB Magnum Xporter

Searching through this forum I don't exactly know what the issue is or how it is corrected.

I purchased the 64GB XPorter adn have never really experienced the specified read/write speeds. Using more than 1 computer.

How can I identify if my flash drive is bad, or damaged or how can correct this?

I use the 64GB flash drive for photos, in RAW format, so the files are large, could this be impactful to the sustained read/write speeds?

    Please advise

Here is a link to download ATTO Benchmark:

    http://www.techpowerup.com/downloads...ark_v2.34.html

Run a test on your flash drive and screenshot the results so I can review it. Thanks

What do I need to do to get this resolved? Do I RMA to Patriot or to the company I purchased it off.

Depends where you purchased it from. Most retailors will give you 30 days. If it has been more than 30 days contact support@patriotmem.com. However...

Your scores actually look about right. 30+ MB/s read and 10-12MB/s write average.

The benchmark doesn't indicate real world performance. I am only getting 4-5MB/s when transferring files according to the Windows transfer status.

I have tried both FAT32 and NTFS (4K clusters) with the same results.

Are you transferring multiple small files or one large one? If you are transferring multiple small ones it will be compromised since the system needs to process each file. If you are transferring one large file then yes, 4-5MB/s is a little slow.

The files are largish, 30GB of files 25-30MB each

If that is the speed for each large file then I would recommend either a low level format tool or opening up a support ticket at support@patriotmem.com for rma.

Is there a low level format tool you recommend?
