    Default PVT36G1600LLK with Prolimatech Megahalems?

Will PVT36G1600LLK fit in the first slot nearest the CPU, regardless of the direction the heat sink is turned?

I am purchasing a ASUS P6T Deluxe V2 motherboard with the i7 920, so I wanted to check with you. The Prolimatech Megahalems measures 40mm from the bottom of the heat sink to the lowest fin. However, the memory bank slots are higher than the CPU, so I don't know whether the modules will have the clearance. I have read at least one article at XBitLabs stating the Prolimatech Megahalems will block certain memory modules from using the first slot, if the modules have heat sink risers that are too high. The article uses the P6T Deluxe motherboard. Further, I am planning to use a single 120x25mm Yate Loon fan (push).

    Thanks,

Yea it is going to fit it going to be a tight fit but it will fit on mines the fins are touching the fan rim but not interfering with the ram so you should be good just review more to be sure

From my previous comment i found a video that will prove my statement heres the link
    Clearance of ram
Stop at exactly 26 seconds and you will see the clearance which is tight but you can imagine the heat sink on the memory, so there will be no problem
    Hope i Helped
