TORQX vs X-25E
Hello,
So I intend to make a SSD RAID 0, 2 disk array with a standalone SSD drive for the page file and any other temporary files I can manage, E-mail, IE7 so on. The OS being Windows 7 RC1 64bit.
What to choose: C:\
64 gb Torqx SSD $230/disk , 80 gb X-25M SSD
$383/disk
w/ cache......... , w/o cache
w/o secure erase.... , w/secure erase
w/ trim capability.... , w/0 trim capabilty
D:\
1 32gb WARP V2 SSD $114
w/o cache
w/o secure erase
w/o trim capability
I thought about using 4 of the WARP V2 disks, 3 in a RAID 0 array with 1 standalone. But these disks seem to be problematical. ie negative web
You do the math reguarding cost, as well as BOOT drive sizes. I am a builder enthuisiast, with limited advanced knowledge, but I'm GAME as they say. So the above thought, its pricey at worst. Which to choose, Hmmmm?
ps: was it bad to mention Intel here?
LOL
