I just received a new 32 GB V2 Warp SDD today. The computer recognizes it and I see it in"disk management" but when I attempt to format, I get the BSOD. My MoBo is a NF4U Am2G Biostar. My primary HD is a 160GB Western Digital SATA.

Can you partition the drive ok?
But when you right click > Format, you get a BSOD?
Are you using FAT or NTFS?
If you can parition ok, but you get a BSOD regardless, try formatting from the command line?
start > run > cmd > format D: /FS:NTFS /Q
Replace "D:" with your appropirate drive letter for your SSD.
earls: The drive partitions ok. The BSOD occurs about half way thru the format. I'm using NTFS. Tried formatting from CMD and same result. Drive letter designation makes no difference. martijim
First, what does the BSOD say?
Possible solutions you may try:
# update your sata controller drivers
# format the drive with a third party disk management tool
# update your bios
# format the drive on another system, then install it in the intended system

I tried your suggestions and the last one worked. I move the drive to another computer and it formats and writes OK. The more I play with computers the less I seem to understand them. Thanks much for your help!
You're very welcome, for what it was worth.Good thing you had another computer! I've been fooling with them for over a decade, and they never cease to frustrate me!
