Woah, that came out ugly. I guess this doesn't support line breaks without the use of HTML. Here's another try:
Hi All, I recently purchased a set of Patriot 2GB (2 x 1GB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM Unbuffered DDR 400 (PC 3200) System Memory from newegg (model PDC2G3200LLK). Actually, this is my second set I received as the first set was defective and I had to RMA it back to newegg. Well, the current modules I believe are working fine, but I can't get my system stable even with the preferred settings that are printed on the back of the label (2-3-2-5). If I allow my mobo to autodetect, the system is totally unresponsive. When I set it to 2-3-2-5 2T, my computer crashes after 10 minutes of running Prime95. At 2-3-2-5 1T, it does not get to the OS at all (blinking cursor on top left). These settings are with RAM voltage set to 2.70. I upped the voltage to 2.75, but that did not help.
Here is my system configuration:
MSI Neo2 Platinum (latest BIOS - v1.8)
AMD64 3500+ Winchester (stock)
Antec 430 PSU
IDE Maxtor 80GB
IDE Maxtor 120GB
MSI Geforce 6600GT (stock)
The previous set of working RAM that I had in the system was a couple of Corsair XMS (512 x 2) that worked perfectly fine for over a year. I wanted to upgrade to 2GB, which is why I went with this particular set. By looking at the configuration above, is there any reason why I can't get it to run stable even at stock speeds?
Thanks in advance.
