I am using a Linksys 5-way switch, not a router. Also all the media is on one drive. (?)
Would there be a problem running to POBs on one wired network to 2 TV sets - assuming watching different media?
Never mind. Its working again??? Shut down everything and restarted, now its OK?
Seemed to work fine at first. Watched a movie and listened to music and displayed a couple photos and could scan all shared folders. Now no shared folders are shown, only the network name folder,...
Inputting the IP did the trick, now working fine. Many thanks aasoror!
No gateway IP there, just IP and SM. Its never had one that I know of.
BTW, under the TCP/IP setup, IP and DNS are set to auto.
My IPs are: 169:254:78:228 on one machine, 169:254:238:140 on another. The third computer is down so I don't have it - it is the ICS. To assign a new IP for the POB I just make the last 2 number...
Its been a few years since I set up the network, so have forgotten most of it. Will have to google for how to do this. Actually, the computers do have static IPs, I'm not sure of what the POB IP...
