I'm owning and using 4 different brands of HD players (WDTV, PBO, O!Play, Popcorn A-200) and I can say I'm most happy with the PBO now. No complaints any more! With the helps from this forum, it's...
The remote control of the O!Play is very simple (a little bit better than WD HDTV). No GO TO button, and no way you can get the DVD menu when you play DVD iso!
Answers:
1. YAMJ by Omertron has to follow strictly the program built by Omertron.
YAMJ by TViXie2Playon!HD= you can use TViXie or thumbgen.
2. No. To be a jukebox, you have to use second program...
There are at least 3 ways to create movie posters and movie info on your modified PBO:
1. Use YAMJ (by Omertron), quick build, slow show, no change needed for folders to contain movies, all info...
The 2 incorrect patches toward the end of the firmware file, could you give me more details and how you fixed them?
Do we need the internal HDD in this process or not? Where is the usr/local/etc?
The subs embedded in mkv is in language supported by PBO? Remember O!Play supports more languages than the PBO. Besides that the subs are SRT or SSA?
Have you tried the scboley/TSK firmware?
Interesting, and thanks, wigout!
I'm learning something more about linux.
Even though I'm happy with our wonderful modified firmware, it's worth trying...
I have over hundred mkv movies with external srt subtitles without any problem...
I installed YAMJ successfully to our modified firmware on PBO (using Windows) after fix problems from YAMJ path (I use USB HDD). I can say it's slow in comparing with Popcorn A-200 (I own one!) and...
I'm late, but agree 100%.
Thanks, time to learn.
Sorry I didn't want to make people waded through unexpected problems. But to laymen, recompile a modified acryan Asian version seems more far-fetched than simply replace the font. I shouldn't have...
Well, I admit I'm Linux illiterate, you guys who are experts correct me if I make mistakes:
Look at yaffs2_1 image and compare between scboley/TSK firmware and acryan r.2901 (Asia version) firmware,...
Thanks, problem solved! I didn't touch anything with moviejukebox.properties config file. Just put all movies 1 level below the root, merged folders less than 20, it's working now!
Thanks, scboley.
I'll try tvixie as alternative.
Just upgrade to Scboley/TSK modified firmware on your PBO. It supports Vietnamese SRT subs. I tested and confirm.
Use Scboley/TSK modified firmware. You may have new SRT language support. Then yellow text is not the problem any more! (Note: Arabic SRT support is in modified acryan3643, notified by aasoror)
You put movies in the internal hard drive or USB hard drive?
What is the setup path in YAMJ config for jukebox to access the movies folder?
I get very quick access to the jukebox, but it doesn't...
I upgraded to Scboley/TSK modified firmware (acryan3643patch). Great job, you guys! I appreciate all of you in this thread, especially thanks to TSK and scboley.
Upgrade went smoothly, no brick! ...
Believe me, I tried ALL Color Options with nearly 50 combination (it took me 3 days to test), and the other Color Options give you totally unpredictable colors. At least "PC ONLY" give me the correct...
ashkan_vpm2,
You're right! yellow sub shown up with VLC, but in PBO it turns to cyan. I tried to combine palettes in trio "text, outline, antialias" before but they're so complicated then I gave up;...
In txt2vobsub, look at COLOR OPTIONS (middle top), choose PC ONLY. It's good for both PC and PBO. Other options for DVD authoring.
For best, use yellow for text and black for both outline and...
Yes, you're only able to change color with the SRT (text) subs. There's no way to change the color with idx/sub in PBO.
Because idx/sub is graphic subs, the color is set when you create the sub. Use...
Hmm... Why do we use PBO just like a media storage? 2 players serve for 1 TV! May you take the internel HDD out and put in the USB hard drive enclosure, it's better serves your O!Play. And it might...
