sounds good
the problem is not patriot the problem is sandforce
there probably is but it will cost like $400 or more and you will need to learn a whole host of new tricks to go along with it.
got it now. this would be about average for a marvell 9128 port. i have seen some guys score up to 700 immediately after a secure erase but it will just settle back into the range you are posting.
im not seeing the benchmark
alan all sata600 drives will have the same problems with an x58 system the x58 platform is good but its also fairly old and not up to the full capabilities of the new drives
the fix is out. so where is it patriot?
you should just run 2 100mb tests when you run cdm you will bring the drive to its knees and it will induce write throttling when you run a cdm like that you probably wrote across like 40gb or more...
good call ad82
can hardly wait for that
looks great!
If the drives are defective what is the solution? I am hesitant to return the drive just to potentially get another defective drive.
This is really starting to piss me off. Sandforce IMO is now a completely unreliable controller. If we are pissed off and it sucks for us I can only imagine how this is crippling Patriot reputation...
Thank you johnj
How much longer?
ok looking forward to it. i just dont want to have to turn off SMART because of the temp thing. i hope it gets fixed
whats the eta on the official release of fw 3.3? is the temp issue being addressed? i am just wondering when i should attempt to use my drive again.
what you are saying VL is that a sandforce drive needs the data already compressed to write its fastest. that is wrong. a sandforce drive needs to be ABLE to compress data to write its fastest.
what drive are you using? it doesnt look that great.
here is my pyro 120 with fw 3.2

VL you still have it backward. ATTO uses UNCOMPRESSED data thats why a sandforce drive DOES well with it because it can be compressed. CDM uses COMPRESSED data thats why sandforce drives DO NOT do as...
congratulations!
only compatible with dual core processors? LOL
hate to have to correct that statement but i must. SANDForce drives do great with UNCOMPRESSED data. atto uses UNCOMPRESSED data. as ssd uses compressed data
I believe that patriot and sandforce will fix the problem. Patriot is the best company @ honoring their warranty. Plus the write performance of a sandforce drive is unmatched. AND the pyro is the...
thats not exactly what i meant....i was suggesting that micron could be a great partner for Patriot if its even possible. My pyro 120 sits on a shelf because its to unreliable to use. I love that...
