Hold the Esc key before you turn on the PBO...
It looks like the PBO already started to boot before you pressed the ESC key.
I think it may have to do with the size of the Hard Drive (1TB) or the brand (Western Digital). I have had and seen some issues with the WD drives before.
Did not have time to dig arround so when I...
Just got a new PBO for my Dad and tried to format a 1TB WD drive on it after upgrading to Bootcode 0027 and Firmware v7.3.4 r4090 (AC-Ryan).
After the format process was completed, I could not...
You should be able to do a dump of your bootcode but I would really advise against trying a foreign Bootcode on your box. If any chip or memory mapping is different you are very likely to lock up...
Installed 4090 over 4318 yesterday and it fixed the resume playing function which did not work under 4318.
Also, SPDIF has now a passthrough setting which is independent of the HDMI setting.
I feel...
The full firmware version numbers are v7.06 r4318 and v7.34 r4090
The last four digit are just revision numbers...
Sorry, I have not seen a script to do this. I had to learn the hard way when I got my first PBO a while back. :p
I used Partition Magic and copied the files from an archive (you have access to all...
Creating the correct partitions is not enough.
You need to copy the proper files on one of them as well to get the HDD recognized as formated by the PBO.
Your HDD problem should have been fixed by formating it under P02 and Bootcode 018 or later.
If not, you had a defective HDD in the first place.
It seems that WD has a quality control issue with...
Waited and waited and waited for the Valkyrie to improve before buying one or two of them...
Alas, I now have a brand new LG N4B2N NAS with 4x2TB SATA drives and integrated Blu-Ray burner.
This...
I didn't like the new format then and I don't like it now.
Fewer sections would have been better.
ie: one for Standard firmware and one for Alternate firmware.
Don't worry, get yourself a TTL cable and we can walk you through the process easily.
One question: Did you rip those Bly-Ray "as is" or did you recompress them to fit on 25 GB discs?
I never had a problem with the audio of my ripped Blu-Ray: I use the optical output of the PBO...
Here is my biggest grief with the PBO: slow USB and Network connection.
I just don't get it.
The PBO is equiped with SATA drive, USB-2 and Fast Ethernet interfaces which are all capable...
Why bother?
I use the "magical firmware" and like the YAMJ function. :p
If I get tired of the Juke Box, I may give it a shot.
I got it to work under Windows XP SP3 by following the installation instructions. I think I had to lookup for one of the files by myself as the link provided did not bring me on the correct page.
I...
Get a cable with a ferrite core at the end, this should solve your problem.
I use full DVD images and I have no problem living with the DVD menu bug...
It should not deter anyone from using the firmware.
What is your bootcode version?
Great, I am glad you got your PBO fixed
It is best to format the drive under P02
Yes it is.
Make sure you are flashing the hacked version for use with PBO remote
P04 is well known to have issues with file transferts and network connection.
I would go back to P02 (like most earlier users did).
If your bootcode is 16 you should update it to 18 or 20.
It will work.
It is basicaly the same as the one I use (mine has a cover on it).
