This mod works perfectly on the AC Ryan Beta firmware v7.0.6.r3643
tskitishvili, scboley, and all who were involved with getting functional firmware working on PBO, I love you guys!
I had all but given up hope that the PBO would ever been anything near its...
on the software side I prefer mplayer. No hardware integration, so I have had trouble playing 1080 movies, but I have heard talk of using CoreAVC with it to get the hardware playback, but not sure if...
Thanks for this, gmoises.
I had posted this on another thread, which like most gets lost in obscurity. Having it here makes sense. I'll update the first post also to include workgroup and hostname...
Great Thread!
Sticky Please.
Ah, some lovely work here wigout.
Its inspired me to try implement my script back onto th P04 (that is to say the scripts that add the usb drives and some server shares to the HDD menu)
The script changes I made are only intended to add the additional usb mount points, with the volume labels if available, to your smb shares. No additional functions in the posted one. The P04 smb...
Here here. Wholeheartedly agree.
Ahaha, thanks frankenberrie, that made my day :)
[edit]
Err, looks like she does not shave her pits :D :D :D
Awe, I don't get a veteran tag? sniff sniff
+1 Is that like the man who walked into a movie rental store looking for "Waiting to exhale" and the store clerk told him not to hold his breath? (Sorry added this in since +1 is not long enough,...
Hey Groucho. I'm unsure exactly why that particular drive is not showing up. Unfortunately, the limitation of what I wrote is that the partitions must be mounted and available in that volumes folder...
Grats :) And well over 3 times the amount of posts of Patriot staff. I believe CJ promised some sort of point based reward, so perhaps patriot will buy you an Xtreamer? ;)
Err...iPad... nuff said
I like hearing a voice of reason. Thanks JPMG.
I admit, I have grown increasingly despondent about the PBO over the last few months. I did not pay sub $100, I paid $207 for mine. Thats my own...
What changed is that the script is no longer available on a writable portion of the system, i.e, it is no longer on the internal drive. Any attempts I've made so far to mod the script in its new...
I tried Paragon on Leopard and have to say ntfs-3g was more stable. I lost so much work because of unreported corrupt copying.
I bit the bullet and installed 04.
As Ebag333 discovered the file is now housed in /usr/local/bin/package/script/, which is no longer on the internal hdd.
The plus side is that smb should work...
Hey Wallyg8r.
I have not installed v04 yet. From some other reports all usb drives now show up on samba share, so possibly you don't need my script mods anymore.
I'm hoping for some more info...
I have to say I am disappointed in Patriot and its staff.
Today I logged on to the forum as I usually do daily to see whats up, and see all kinds of post about firmware 04 by people who have tried...
Yea, its the usual FU Apple gives to its supporters. Tiger (10.4) is a 32bit OS while Leopoard and Snow Leopard are 64bit OSes. Many things that used to work on tiger are not so functional on...
+1 on hfs+ support. My WDTV supports it (not journalled)
That is only true if you have an old pre OS X machine. I know from experience that you can format fat32 and NTFS from 10.4 onwards. Not...
...and if you have an hdd installed internally try taking it out. That worked for me. Once the firmware is updated you put the hdd back.
so I noticed that on the root there is a file called linuxrc that is a symbolic link to /bin/busybox. Now I'm not sure its full function but perhaps if we map it to the original busybox we may see...
I got the original Busybox off my PBO. pm me your email and I'll send it over. Perhaps do what you did before, but overwrite the 1.15 one with the one I send you. (Tried to upload it to the forum but...
