What hardware is your system? What drivers are you using for the storage controllers?
You will probably want to find a windows 7 machine, running on an intel chipset and plugged into one of the...
definitely update to 5.0.4! It had fixes for TRIM.
Then fill the drive up with files and delete them to force garbage collection to work a bit, might unstall the SSD.
Also, if you are running...
@cichy45. Did you power your computer off completely for a couple of minutes after the firmware update?
The new firmware won't be used until the drive is powered off and restarted.
Although, this software won't be effective until after you upgrade to 5.0.4.
If you are using your drive for SSD caching, it probably won't be seen by the firmware update utility. Easiest way to do the upgrade would be to plug it into another computer for the firmware upgrade.
Don't update your firmware at this stage. 5.0.2 breaks TRIM and you cannot downgrade back to 3.3.2.
1) Sequential write seems about 10-15meg per sec too slow. Not massively slow, but only slightly. These speeds are fairly normal for a sandforce 120gig SSD writing in-compressible data. Use ATTO if...
Write speeds are slightly slow, but they will probably pick up a bit after the next firmware upgrade. If not, then they arn't terrible speeds anyway.
The Read Error Rate raw values are normal, the...
First suggestion is to wait for either 5.0.3 or 5.0.4. TRIM doesn't work in 5.0.2, so it is a bad upgrade to do, especially if your drive currently works correctly.
Second suggestion is to change...
You can now reinstall the latest AMD drivers for better performance (or wait until after 5.03/5.04 for further improtant bugfixes)
Are you running in AHCI or IDE mode?
Did you right click the firmware program and select RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR? Otherwise the computer won't elevate it sufficiently to access your drives correctly.
Secure erase the drive ASAP and hope for the best. Don't bother trying to image the drive if you haven't done so yet, just try and copy your most important files.
Reinstall windows and see if your...

Are you running the latest BIOS for your laptop?
Are your benchmarks looking better now?
Follow the steps here to enable the MSAHCI driver.

Then change to AHCI mode in your bios and windows will boot. Then install the Intel 11.1 rapid storage...
What system are you trying to install the drive into, and what port on that system are you using. (can you run as-ssd as well, that reveals a lot of useful information)
Also, your drive has the...
I'm not a mind reader, so I don't know what drive you are using. From what I can deduce, I bet you are using a Pyro 120gig (SE version maybe).
You probably have power saving enabled. You need to...
You didn't happen to run the update while the drive was in a USB enclosure did you?
If you did, that could have possibly bricked the device ... really needs to be connected to an internal SATA...
SSDs should not be showing bad blocks .... that much is certain. In addition, windows shouldn't bother marking clusters bad on a filesystem based on a SSD. SSDs have a completely dynamic LBA to...
If you haven't tried a different cable yet, then certainly do ... I've seen this problem a couple of times with sata cables.
You answered your own question. The marvell controller is crap and you should probably just put it on the intel controller for better stability and better general performance.
Did you turn your computer off after the firmware upgrade? The new firmware won't be used until the drive is properly powered down and repowered.
Restart and reset don't actually allow the SSD to...
Considering the X58 chipset on the Asus Rampage III Extreme board isn't made by AMD, you won't find an AMD driver there.
Maybe doing the above for the Intel Sata controller might work, as long as...
As far as I know, TRIM should work in IDE mode in windows 7. I haven't tested it though.
I really wouldn't worry about it though. If you do see serious write performance degradation, then TRIM...
From my understanding, the problem is that some 3gb SATA implementations do not handle 6gb SATA devices correctly. Instead of negotiating the highest speed between the two devices (3gb), they fall...
