Okay. Thanks.
To me downmixing any HD Audio is an instant fail and and no audio at all is even worse but I don't know what ranks below fail. The product would have been sent back if the medeBO...
When it is reported DTS-MA: PASS and/or Dolby TrueHD: PASS are you talking about passthrough/bitstream or downmix?
I consider it a FAIL if it only does downmix and thought that the only firmware...
That is a thing with 24fps especially when the scene pans across the screen but it does most closely mimic actual cinema and that is the desired effect.

If you are having a problem un-bricking it go buy another one and send the bricked one to me!!
:D :D
No, but there may be that setting on your HDTV.
Are you playing off the internal HDD, USB or over your network?
I was having a similar problem streaming "Red" and "Inception" through my network but I am getting a pretty high retained thoroughput on my network. I put it down to playing high bit-rate video with...
I searched the specifications on the manufacturer's web sites and found that they both read dual layer BD-ROM at 8x so maybe the LG is the better deal as most, if not all, of my collection is dual...
Did I miss something??
What do you mean by "Speed makes a difference during "copy" operations and not playback."? Are you talking about copying a blu-ray disc to a HDD?
I have no need to write BD-R but only a need to...
Which is more important?
Cache or read speed?
I am looking at these two drives. One has 12x but on 2Mb cache whereas the other is 10x with 4Mb cache.
Understood, but I do use Crashplan on-line data back up.
What are the other options? I don't plan on getting a NFS as I've got plenty of space in my computer for HDD's and was having issues with...
I am using Win7 and just installed a 2TB HDD. I have moved my Public Videos from the C:\ to this new (K:\) drive. I also have a another 2TB HDD that just arrived today that I am going to put in...
Except for the only feature that really matters... HD Audio playback for bitstreaming dts-MA and Dolby TrueHD. The rest of the features of the other f/w's can be acheived on the medeBO with a little...
Yes, that is a solution but the remote codes in Logitech's database don't fully control the PBO as I am finding out. Another thing on my to-do list for this unit is to finish programming the remote...
Was the UPC still on the box?
What was the seller's return policy?
Did the description indicate that the remote was faulty?
(BTW there was somebody else posting a few days back about issues...
Well, TV shows are copyrighted but I only want to time shift them with better quality than I am getting with Playon. It is either this or a tuner card and PVR software on my computer but this sounds...
And there's the push. There's ways to do it with newsgroups too with NBZ's and such. This is the way my son is telling me to go so I'll get him over my place to do that.
Not mistified. Just getting clarification.
I tought my son that's the IT guy how to do config.sys and autoexec.bat as well as how to build computers about 20 years ago and now he's passed me up in...
So that does it using your computer (similar to using PlayOn in a medeBO box) rather than using the BT client in the PBO?
Sounds pretty simple to me as my computer is on all the time.
How does...
I know......
He helps a lot with things but because he doesn't like torrents (mainly for security reasons and ISP's monitoring their customers use of them) I'm on my own with this one...
I guess I'll be the guinea pig on this one... maybe over the weekend. The thing is that I haven't even done transmission (is this how to do it?) on my PBO yet either so I guess it'll be a learning...
Here's the first post in this thread from 2009:
I think that this is still a problem, no?
