I just bought a 2*8 Go PV316G160C9K kit, to use with a new configuration based on asus P8P67-Le mainboard. (i7 2600k)

It was very difficult to get the board booting with these memory, using the DIMOK function was the only way, but the result is DDR1333...

I tested then the memory on another asus mainboard P8Z77-v pro and same result... (i7 3770k)

Any recommandations ? Should i return this to the sailor and change for any other model / reference ?

thanks for your help,

Does anybody have the actual power consumption of the PSD38G13332S module? It's the 204-pin SODIMM, 8GB, PC3-10600/1333, CL9, 1.5V module. I'm doing power calculations, so I need to know what the max power consumption is under full load (all arrays in use on the module).

I've seen all the spec sheets, but nowhere can I find the consumption. Most manufacturer's list it in the true tech specs (non-consumer specs), i.e Micron shows 2.65W for a similar 8GB module, but I can't find the data sheet for Patriot modules.

Hello, I have 1 kit 4x4GB 2133MHz Patriot Viper black mamba and I'm having problems on the motherboard asrock z77 extreme 4 with this kit.

The bios does not recognize the 16GB installed. Windows 7 does not recognize.
But the strange thing is that the CPU-Z recognizes the memories in their respective sockets.

I use an i7 3770K and Windows 7 x64 ultimate. Have tested the modules one by one. Already tested the sockets one by one. There is no problem with them. Already upgraded to latest bios, not solved.
The XMP profile for these memories is missing in my bios.

complementing:

I tested 2 modules in socket 1 and 3, they work in dual channel (8GB). OK
I tested 2 modules in socket 1 and 4, they work in dual channel (8GB). OK
I tested 2 modules in socket 1 and 2, and only recognizes 4GB in socket 1 in single channel.
I tested 2 modules at socket 3 and 4, and only recognizes 4GB in socket 3 in single channel.

And as I already said, the 4x4GB are not recognized in the bios, not in w7 x64 ultimate. In this configuration, are recognized in dual channel socket 1 and 3. But the CPU-Z recognizes the 4 memories installed in each socket.

Please, what might be going on?

I am running the 2x4GB Patriot Viper 3 Intel Extreme 1866 mhz with an MSI FM2-A75MA-E35 motherboard and an AMD A10 5800K processor. Both the motherboard and the processor support up to 1866 mhz RAM without overclocking. My RAM only shows up as running at 1600 mhz using the MSI Command Center utility. I have tried enabling Intel XMP, and have also tried manually inputting the timings, voltage, and frequency into the BIOS. Neither has worked. I spent the extra money to get the 1866 mhz RAM and would really like to use it to its full potential. Any help is appreciated greatly.
