So... I recently bought a
Patriot W11n PCUSBW1150 Wireless N LAN USB Adapter from NCIX which states it's compatible with PBO.... and so I thought...because its not working...

is it really compatible or do i have faulty one?

How do i check the chipset?

Is there a way to make it compatible??

Thanks!

I have a Patriot N Adapter that works fine but it is a different model # then yours. As far as checking to see if you have a faulty adapter you could always connect it to your Computer and see if it works there. If it does not work on your computer then I will suspect a faulty device.

You can usually find the chipset when connected to a PC but I am a Linux user and only know how to do that using Linux. I think that in windows you need to check the device manager property for that wifi stick to find the chipset but I am not 100% sure.

Good luck!

it turns out the chipset (according to my Windows Driver) is RTL8188CU...
is there anything to telnet it to the pbo??? or it's just not compatible?
