I have recently bought the Alpine unit, then update it with 20120330 firmware. The updated firmware is a little better, but there are bugs needed to be iron out.

Yes, if you can try the Matrix Firmware, let me know if this fixes the PPS and PPTV playback issue.

When browsing directly to a website make sure to press the subtitle button to bring up the URL box. After inputting any address, you'll need to press enter once to confirm the url is complete then enter again to actually go to the website.

I ran a quick test and the browser seems to work fine. Do you get bumped back when accessing websites through google?

Can you double check to make sure you're not pressing the back or home button (as this is pretty close to the enter button on the Alpine remote)?

On the stock firmware, I have no problem surfing the web via Browser in Application.

\After upgrading to 20120330 firmware, the browser can only do search in google, after search result is displayed, i got bumped back to Application screen after 8-10s or so. I will try to re-do the firmware upgrade one more time.

\Also, I have tried the Matrix firmware. After the first reboot, it did take some time to rebuild the system. There are some laggings at the main screen. It is by far better than present firmware. However, I am using it with Patriot Wireless 11N USE adapter 300Mb/s, not the 150MB/s model. If the Matrix firmware supports the 300MB/s model, I would have no problem. More tests needed to be done.
\Preferrably to have an online guide/stickies for setting Samba network and other options, for newbie likes me.

May I know how to install PPS and PPTV in the PBO Alpine? Where did you download the program?
I have been using the older PBO Core with alternate firmware and very happy with it. However, it shows sign of dying recently. Very disappointed that the PBO Core is no longer available.
Any info provided is greatly appreciated. Thanks
