Need help with an 8gb Micro SD

I received an 8gb Patriot 3-in-1 microSD card for my phone. It worked fine until I turned of my phone. When I turned on my phone again, my phone says that all my music is gone, which it isn't, then I plug it into my computer and back into my phone, then it works again. This is a very annoying solution.

If anybody has some ideas, I would appreciate them.

Silly-ish question here, but does your phone actually support an 8GB MSD? My phone tops out at 4GB for some weird reason spec reason. Otherwise, it sounds like the phone isn't working well with the memory. Could just be a sign of issues internally. If you could get your hands on another exact model MSD, you could narrow it down to phone issues or card issues. Good luck with it. :/
