asus ipibl-la mobo does not find ssd in bios

I am trying to fresh-install windows 7 on Patriot PYRO SE in a HP Pavilion M9000T. Windows files were loaded just fine. Then when it got to the step to choose a drive to install the operating system, the SSD did not show up in the drive list. is there anything that i could have done?

By the way, I already changed the sata controller option to AHCI before the installation process had been started.

1) Make sure both sata data and power are firmly plugged in
2) Try a different sata cable. Sometimes SATA cables are bad.
3) Try the SSD in a different computer. Your motherboard may simply not be compatible.
