Hello all.
Here's a small list of what I've discovered while configuring the Javelin. I read great reviews on the Net and via YouTube, so I took a chance to get it. Right now, however, I'm almost regretting the purchase!
Here's the list, but I'm almost certain at this point, there's going to be more:
1) I cannot access the Advanced Management screen in a browser on a PC. Mac is not a problem - first try with Safari / FF.
I've tried all the browsers - IE, FF, Chrome, Safari - they just all hang attempting to show the log in window.
2) I cannot mount a folder (newly created nor existing one) to Support Time Machine. The manual says to check the box and Mount. If the process was successful, it should be seen. It is successful, but Time Machine in Lion does not see it under the Time Machine configuration.
I even went ahead and isolated the protocol for Mac use only via the File & Print --> Sharing Setup --> select my folder ("mac-mini") --> uncheck the Windows checkbox and FTP Sharing checkbox. Only the Mac checkbox is active.
Am I missing something somewhere? I would have figured the config was self explanatory, but I guess not??
Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.
Pat
