I have a sony TV supporting DLNA. When my photos on my computer HD, I can view it on TV after doing some configuration on my computer.

Does Valkyrie support DLNA too? Why my TV cannot see it?

Hello,

Unfortunately the Valkyrie is not DLNA certified.

This is the reason why your TV might not pick up the pictures from the Valkyrie through your TV.

Thanks.
Is it possible that you can include DLNA support in your next firmware upgrade?

Hi yuketor,

Unfortunately no, we cannot.

The reason is that older NAS products; such as our Valkyrie was designed for Network storage and not media servers. New generation NAS will have these functions.

Therefore newer Nas devices (such as the Javelin) are used for media and are DLNA certified… and retrofitting an old device with DLNA would not be practical.
