IMS not working

I just picked up PBO Core and got everything up and running except for IMS. The unit is running on stock firmware (bootcode 27 and firmware P61). I have not updated to the latest P70 firmware. Streaming from my win7 box via lan wired connection and USB are working great. I can also see the venus share from win7 box. I do not have a hard drive in the unit.

When I go into the IMS menu and drill down to any one of the items in eg. Video News, Video Podcast or espn radio, I always get this confirm feed url dialog. Then I press enter. I see the round loading icon in bottom left corner appearing for a few seconds and then going away. I assume I should get the feed playing at this point. The thumbnail icon beside each feed item is also grey. I assume this means it's not working.

Can someone help me track down what the problem is? Do I need a hard drive in there for IMS to work? My DNS server is set to 4.2.2.1.

You do not need a HDD for IMS to work and do not need to do anything special. Your DNS should be your router (gateway) on the PBO if there is such a setting I can not remember I have mine setup with DCHP auto and do not have access to my PBO right now. Let your router handle the DNS service instead of the PBO. Do you have DCHP auto selected and if not what do you have for your IP settings on the PBO.

From what I can gather from your post your PBO can not connect to the internet.

upgrade to the latest firmware.
Set your DHCP on the PBO network setup to your router IP and leave all the other settings to be auto-configured.
