Patriot Razzo 8GB - PSF8GRUSB - Need HELP!

Bought this from Newegg about a month ago. Do these drives have some sort of security feature that prevent them from being reformatted on one computer and then used on another? I formatted this drive to FAT32 and backed up a few files from a computer I was going to reformat.

Now that I've backed up the files, I've tried plugging this flash drive into no less than three windows XP computers and none of them recognize the content on the drive. Each computer I put this in asks me if I want to reformat the drive.

I absolutely cannot lose the data on this drive!

no our usb drive does not have that security feature that prevent them from being reformatted on one computer and then used on another. can you try to reinstall the usb drive to the fisrt computer that you have copy the data off of to see if the drive will give you the same error massage?
