Hi,
I got a week ago a 1*2 GB Patriot memory set (PDC2G3200LLK, PLU# 4453786). I ordered it form outpost.com (waited 59 days because it was out of stock).
It worked a week with some problems (system rebooted randomly about once a day) @ 200MHZ (2-3-2-5) until today:
I found that the memory worked in 2T settings, and disabled (form MB BIOS) the setting to work at 1T value.
The system didn't get to windows anymore, at any memory settings
(133, 166, 200MHZ, Auto memory latencies, 2T mode, DRAM voltade 2,6 - 2,8V etc). I typically got Windows
startup screen but never got to the logon screen.
I reinstalled Windows, and got the memory to work in auto mode. The maximum values I now get are
Dual channel mode
133,3 MHz
FSB<img src="e;/images/forum/teeth_smile.gif"e; align=absmiddle border=0>RAM CPU/15
2.5-3-2-5-11-16 (CPU-Z)
If I try to change memory Frequency using Systool or A64Tweaker, the system crashes immediately.
If I change settings form BIOS, the windows crashes immediately I got logged in.
My system is:
Win XP SP2 Home Edition
AsRock 939 DUAL - SATA2 BIOS 1.20
Athlon A64 3200+ Venice @ 2000 MHz
2 GB Patriot DDR400 PDC2G3200LLK
Powercolor Radeon X800XT AGP
IBM GXP 180/80 HDD
Hitachi 7K250/160 HDD
Liteon 8X DVD?RW
Enlight MIDI 300W ATX
Hitachi CML174SXW
Samsung CLP-510 Color laser printer
1024/512 ADLS
