Just bought the PBO and not too impressed to far

1) Doesn't play .flv from Dailymotion.com
2) Doesn't play .trp files
3) Didn't play one my x264 as well
4) In-Built Youtibe

I know I can install 3d party for Youtube but I am looking to resolve my issues above as well as options like Hulu, Tune-in Radio, Youtube etc

Any player you would recommend?

For just $250 (5x the average price of the PBO) you can get yourself a nice booksized net-top (ion2 or C-350 based) and kiss all your problems goodbye.
Any other cheap box (next cheapest option would be 2x the PBO price) will have similar problems and limitations.

Now to address you impressions:

1) there is known header problem with some .flv files and the PBO.
2) true, compatibility list is published every where, but players that play .trp doesn't play rm ;)
3) one out of how many ? I have several terabytes of x264 encoded MKVs, unless its the obvious (like header compression) the problem is usually with the encoding profile used to create the file not the PBO itself.
4) YT is built in, all you need to couple of commands to unveil it.

Hulu, Netflix, Pandora and major online contents providers work fine via UPnP (using a UPnP server like Playon.tv).
IPTV works too using the semi-official megapacks.

All of this without the need to go 3rd party.

I am not sure how much you paid for your PBO but for $50 I think its quite impressive for what it can do.

semiofficial megapacks are linked in my signature below.
Installation is exactly like usual firmware upgrades.
