does patriot give refunds? my memory didn't work and i was told it was compatible by the Patriot staff so i RMA'd it. the new sticks still don't work, and I was wondering if it's possible to get these sticks refunded, and if so, what channels do i need to go through to get said refund?

Hello,
Unfortunately we have a no refund policy. Your best bet may be to check with the reseller.
What is the make and model of the motherboard?
Are you sure it is a (compatible) memory issue and perhaps not a system hardware issue elsewhere?

the motherboard is a msi P67A-G45. the rma guy said it should be compatible. the problem is that the system keeps restarting itself before post. it's currently running fine with a set of g. skills. i bought the memory from tigerdirect but it's past their refund time because i RMA'd first.

Just to verify compatibility, what is the Patriot Part name of the modules starting with "P?" Ie; PVV34G1333ELK

Hi Choffers,
Yes, our Signature Line should be fully compatible. If you have a prior RMA through us feel free to contact the tech or rma rep you were working with and we'll be glad to expedite the RMA. Our RMA Dept should be able to accomodate you.

eh, i'll probably just try to sell them, this is the second set, and i'm going to assume that the probability of getting 4 different sticks that don't work is incredibly low (yes, i tested them each individually too). thanks for your help though!

side note: is it possible to exchange the ram for a different/ lesser model instead of RMA'ing for the exact same one?

Hey choffers,
I would recommend to go ahead and initiate the RMA. You can make the inquiry with the RMA dept and they should be able to let you know if this is possible or not. The easiest method of doing so would be to e-mail the RMA rep you were working with or shoot an e-mail to: RMA@patriotmem.com.
