Hi,

I have Valkyrie Dual Bay NAS. It is conected to my computer via network switch. Device works but... I use Look'n'Stop firewall and when it is active I can not access to Valkyrie. When I switch off firewall Valkirye is visible again. It is the same if I start VALKYRIE-Net Tool or if I try to access device through Internet Explorer.

So please can anyone tell me exactly what port number (and what kind of them (TCP, UDP,...) I should open to continue using device without "droping my shields".

Thank you in advance.

You need to open the standard SMB port, which is TCP 445, as well as the antiquated (but used) ports for netbios. 137 (BOTH), 138 (UDP) and 139 (TCP).

Granted, I cannot really provide support for your firewall. The Valkyrie uses no special ports that a windows server wouldn't use. The people at look n' stop may have better information on what settings need to be adjusted to allow CIFS/SMB/Windows File Sharing (different names, same thing).
