I dont know if its the USB drive or my PC, but I have a really decent gaming PC that I want to use the Patriot 4GB Xporter XT on, and when I go to run ANY benchmarking software tools on it to measure read/write speeds for it, it COMPLETELY freezes my PC and I need to reboot, then when I try and open the drive I have to format it again.
Now I have a second PC that is a non gaming family PC and when I use the USB drive on this PC and benchmark it it runs just fine, no freezing and completes 100%
What could be the cause of the USB drive freezing my PC during benchmarking? I have all the latest drivers for my PC and cannot figure it out.
