I have P61 megapack installed on my PBO. It used to be 192.168.2.4. Yesterday, I tried to do a BT download using http://192.168.2.4/WebTorrentHome.html. The BT task didn't start, then I rebooted PBO. After that my PBO IP address changed to 192.168.0.93. I rebooted it and reconfigured network on PBO several times, but it didn't change back to 192.168.2.x. Anyone knows how to fix it?

Another question is:
If I setup any WPA password on my router, PBO won't get any connection. But if it can get IP address easily if the security on PBO is selected as NONE. I use monoprice USB 11n wireless adapter.

Thanks,

I assume you are using auto IP assigned by DHCP of your router. First, you need to check you router setting. Your router may got reset to factory setting and is now is a different subnet of default at 192.168.0.1. Second, it is strongly recommended to use a static IP address on your PBO. All routers support that. Just reduce the range of DHCP on the router and assign an IP outside of that range for your PBO. For the best wireless performance, I use no encryption or password protection but just MAC filtering. It is not very secure, but I only use that sub-network for video streaming.

Can you not force a static IP address by using your router and setting up an IP address for a specific MAC Adddress. On my router this option is under the DCHP server Tab.

Not sure why it does not connect using WPA try wep just for kick and see what happen.

Thank you two.
I am pretty sure that my subnet is 192.168.2.x since all my other computers' IPs are 192.168.2.x.
Another weird thing I remember now is that the PBO was not even on my router's user list. I am positive that the SSID on PBO is correct.

LOL. You probably connected to your neighbor's router with the same SSID. :D

I don't think any of my neighbors uses the same SSID as mine.

Leave you wi-fi connection unsecure so that you can connect to the PBO and maybe they will !! :D

I did it last night. It still got 192.168.0.93. Can I refresh p61 megapack? If yes, should I downgrade to p02 and redo the whole upgrade process?

If you are so sure about your router's IP and subnet address, why don't you just set the PBO with static IP manually and see if that solves the problem.

Do as they are saying and assign statics for your devices...it saves a headache. Worst case you will have to manage host files, but being new to networks, is easier than trying to figure out DNS/WINS.

I've a similar problem with my PBO. I've reserved an IP on my DHCP server which matches the one the PBO seems to be using as the PBO ignors any other IP that the DHCP would normally assign.
